Site History
This is the part of the site to get a little more information about this collective and what it's about. Also, any questions you might have pertaining to this site may be answered in this section.
[ Cosmic Chaos? ]
This site started off as a cheap (and when I say cheap I mean it to the fullest extent) anime page named, "Chibi Vbabe's Anime Page". I had high hopes for it, but got lazy so nothing really happened with it. The site was also very unorganized, with horrid html coding, broken links, questionable layouts, and so on. After being appalled by "Chibi Vbabe's Anime Page" I was offered space at Ryoriku.Net (which no longer exists). When I moved my files there, I turned the old "Chibi Vbabe's Anime Page" into a collective named Cosmic Chaos. That happened in December 2001. Back then, Cosmic Chaos was a collective that focused on anime-related content, such as websites dedicated to certain animes that interested me at the time.
I was with Ryoriku for about a month, until my friend
Gwen, generously offered me space at her domain,
Evil-Angel.Net. Since then, this site has existed here for 6 years. In mid-2004 my site seemed to undergo what I'd call the "Dark Ages". That lasted for 3 years. I made absolutely no updates for those 3 years. It seemed as if I had forgetting Cosmic Chaos even existed.
When 2007 rolled in, I realized something... I had a long since forgotten collective at
Evil-Angel.Net. I owe thanks to my Internet Design I class for getting me back into the swing of things. With out that class, this site may have never seen another update. So, now the time to update this site couldn't be better. I am no longer the lame high school kid that I was some odd years ago, and I no longer really care about anime. Because of that, it's pretty much been wiped off this site. Now this site will focus on my personal writings, non-commerical art, information about various metal bands (my second passion in life), and any other thoughts I see worthy of posting here. So, in a way, this site has become a window into my mind. Scary, huh? Well, you had to know some way.
[ F.A.Q's ]
If the above information was not enough, read on.
Q: What program do you use to make layouts?
A: Photoshop CS2, and Illustrator CS2. Yes, those programs are responsible for the pure graphic design goodness going on here.
Q: How long has it been since you started making sites?
A: I started making my own webpages around mid-March of 2001. So I guess that would make it 6 years now. I really have no life. Hahaha.
Q: Where did you learn HTML at?
A: I learned many things at a website called,
Lissa Explains.Com (when I was 15), but it doesn't have every trick in the book. I had to browse the net on my own eventually to find out new techniques, and ideas.
The funny thing now is that all that HTML knowledge pretty much got me ahead in life. Seriously. I sit in my Internet Design I class filled with boredom.
Q: Why are your layouts so amazing?
A: I know, they really are, thanks for noticing. I'm a graphic designer, that's why.
Q: Can you give me any pointers on Photoshop/ Illustrator?
A: It depends. People ask me all the time, and my answer is: If you aren't artistic you'll never have a sense of aesthetics and design. It doesn't matter how much you know about the programs, with out natural artistic abilities your designs will look hideous.
Q: Do you have any other websites outside of Cosmic Chaos?
A: Yes, I have a graphic design portfolio website that is currently being put together at this URL:
leaheropkin.com.
Q: Are you weird?
A: Yes, of course. If you have to ask me that at this point... that's just sad. Most people tend to catch on faster.
Q: Are you sarcastic?
A: See above.
